Photographs taken during various research cruises doing deep-sea research
This gallery contains some photos I've taken over the course of my career, working at sea as a marine biologist. They include photographs taken aboard Scottish fishing vessels (trawlers and creel vessels) targeting Scottish shellfish, mostly in the Scottish langoustine fishery (Norway lobster) between roughly 2006 and 2010, before I moved to offshore and deep-sea research in 2010 for my PhD. In 2016 I moved to the US and have been in Florida ever since, where I now run the Seascape Ecology Lab at Nova Southeastern University where I work on deep-sea oceanic ecosystems in the Gulf of Mexico.
