SBG013: Herring Gull

Gulls are surprisingly beautiful birds when you catch them at the right moment. This photograph of a herring gull (Larus argentatus) was taken from a commercial fishing trawler working in the North Minch area (near the Outer Hebrides, Scotland) as the birds were scavenging for discards.
