SBF004: Fulmar in Flight

SBF004: Fulmar in Flight - Fulmars
A northern fulmar (Fulmaris glacialis) in flight. These birds are relatives of the albatrosses, and forage long distances over the sea using their specialised "tube-beaks" to smell food.

This image was taken from a fishing vessel working in the North Minch area (Outer Hebrides, Scotland).
