SBA016: Puffin

SBA016: Puffin - Auks
A puffin (Fratercula arctica) swimming. Puffins are probably the best loved of all the British seabirds with their comical appearance and brightly coloured beaks. Once the breeding season is over, the beaks change colour to black and white, and the birds travel offshore for the winter, only returning to land the following year to breed again.
