Whale watching tomorrow!

I'm heading up to the west coast tomorrow to Seil Island (about 12 miles south of Oban) for a whale watching trip with Sealife Adventures which I'm really excited about! I used to work for these guys (back in the days before I had a decent camera) and it's what really inspired me to start shooting wildlife. The Firth of Lorne is a brilliant place for wildlife, with hundreds of harbour porpoise, gannets, kittiwakes, auks, seals, shags, otters, deer and feral goats on the islands which are all seen pretty regularly. What I'm really hoping to see tomorrow though are the white-tailed sea eagles that have moved across to Jura from Mull after their reintroduction to Scotland, and I'm hoping to get a shot of a minke whale as well. I've seen plenty of these whales, but I've never quite managed to get a shot of them yet (working fishing boats are not the best for photographing whales!) so fingers crossed!
After that, I'm planning to swing back through Oban to see what birds are around on the beaches and to try and shoot the black guillemots that are often seen around the waterfront, and I might see what is going on at the beach at Inverary too depending on the weather and the tides. It should be a good day out, and I will keep you posted on how it all turns out!
