A baby short-finned pilot whale surfaces next to its mother to breathe. Because the sea was a bit rough, the whales were lifting their heads quite far clear of the water whenever they surfaced which meant it was possible to see their faces (which is a bit of a rarity for pilot whales!) and the young ones were just being exuberant!
