USW016: Port Napier - Shipwrecks and Divers
A mine-laying cart from the wreck of the Port Napier. This boat was a mine-layer from WW2, but caught fire shortly after being built and stocked with artillery shells and mines. Fortunately the navy were able to tow her out of the harbour at Kyle of Lochalsh before the shells exploded, and the wreck now lies in 20m of water just off the Skye coast.
