SBG020: Juvenile - Gannets
A young gannet (Morus bassanus) circling behind our trawler. Gannets are a dirty grey-black colour immediately after fledging and gradually change colour to the adult white with black wingtips over a period of about five years. This individual is probably about 3 years old.
