IDT012: Haddock - Bony Fish
This is a haddock (Melanogrammus aeglefinnus), a commercially fished species of gadoid (cod-family). It can be identified by the three dorsal fins, barbel under its chin and the characteristic black 'thumb-print' below the first dorsal fin.

The story goes that the thumbprint was left by St Peter when he picked a haddock out of his fishing net, and has remained on the fish ever since.
