IDT014: Atlantic Cod

An Atlantic cod (Gadus morhua). This species belongs to the family Gadidae (cods), and can be identified by the mottled yellow-green colour along its back (although this can vary to red-brown), pale lateral line and large barbel on the chin.

Scale is indicated by a 10p piece (approx. similar size to a US 25c coin).
