Gun Turret
German vessels were not always given full names during the world wars, and many ofthe lesser vessels in a fleet would be identified only by a single letter and number. This frigate, known as the F2, was built at the start of World War 2, and eventually sank under the care of the British navy after the war had ended. Salvage was not attempted until the late 1960s, but was unsuccessful, and as the F2 sank again under tow, it dragged the towing barge down as well.

This is now a brilliant, relatively shallow dive in about 25m of water. This photograph is looking down the barrel of one of the forward guns.
