UML024: Hermit crabs - Marine Life
This species of hermit crab (Pagurus bernhardus) uses the shells from other animals for protection. However, as they grow they need to replace their shells in order to maintain the best protection, and will often fight over the best ones which I believe, is what these two crabs are doing in this photograph.
