Back from a very cool trip up to the Isle of Mull, with some big groups of basking sharks and some stunning behaviours!

Had a cracking trip out to the Isle of May on Saturday, with loads of puffins, baby gulls, kittiwakes and shags still around on the island. Photos will be going up through the week, so check back often!

Had a really good trip out in the Firth of Lorne yesterday, although choppy seas meant we didn't get any cetacean sightings. There were plenty of seabirds though and the sea eagles didn't disappoint!

Off to the Firth of Lorne for a whale watching trip tomorrow, I can't wait! Hoping to see white-tailed sea eagles and Minke whales in particular, but the area is brilliant for all kinds of wildlife so it should be a cool day out!

I will keep you updated on what we find.

Great week so far up in stornoway! All the wildlife is out in force for the summer and the weather is cracking!

It's been a great summer for wildlife so far, and there is lots more planned, starting with a trip up to the Hebrides next week!

What an amazing place California is for wildlife! I'll post a selection of images later on in a news post and on the Facebook page so keep an eye out for that.

Since I'm getting married in 2 days and heading off to California for 3 weeks, there will be a short break in the updates to the website. I'll be back on the 29th May though, hopefully with some new photographs to share, and I am going to try and keep the twitter \ facebook pages updated while we're away (though it'll depend on the mobile service over there).

Computer issues at the end of last week knocked the update schedule off a bit, but we are back on track now and will be updating the galleries daily until Friday.

We had a cracking weekend away diving around Oban last weekend, and the first images from the trip are now up in the Underwater gallery. I'll be uploading the trip images daily, so keep checking back for updates.

New underwater images are now up in the revamped Underwater Gallery and a wee reminder that I'll be giving a talk on underwater photography to the Bon Accord Camera Club (Aberdeen) this Thursday night at 7.30pm.

It's been an interesting week in Stornoway with all four seasons of weather descending on Lewis for the few days we were up, but it turned out to be a pretty successful week with lots of new seabird photos and gannets, which stole the show!

I'm away up to Stornoway again this week to test out the 7D in familiar waters and will hopefully get some nice shots for next weekend.
